Senegal will face Bolivia at the Stade de la Source in Orleans, France, in a friendly match on Saturday (September 24) as they begin their preparations for the FIFA World Cup in Qatar later this month.
The Teranga Lions qualified for the quadrennial competition for the second consecutive time after beating Egypt 3-1 on penalties in the qualifiers in March. They were drawn in Group A of the final along with the Netherlands, Ecuador and Qatar.
Bolivia, whose last World Cup appearance was in 1994, have seen their wait to return to the world stage continue after another dismal qualifying campaign. Collecting just 15 points from 18 games, the Greens finished second from bottom in CONMEBOL qualifying, with only Venezuela (10) accumulating fewer points.
Bolivia vs Senegal head to head
This is only the second meeting between Senegal and Bolivia.
Their first match was in March 2002, where the Teranga Lions won 2-1 over the Greens.
